CBI arrested Anubrata Mondal on Thursday. The Birbhum District Land and Land Reforms Office, which was open till late at night, was charged on the same day as the arrest of the Dunde leader of Birbhum by the Central Investigation Agency in the case of cow smuggling.
Allegedly, it was around 2 am on Thursday night. Even then the light was seen in that office. The opposition's complaint, whether it is an attempt to falsify information or not, needs to be investigated.
After the arrest of Anubrata Mondal, the land and land reform office in Siuri allegedly continued working till 2 am. The question of the opposition, what was the work of the government officials, for which they had to stay in the office until late at night? The opposition alleged that information was being leaked.
Cpim Birbhum district secretary Gautam Ghosh said, “In many blocks of Birbhum district, offices open after 5 pm. Now the office of BLRO is open, it means that the leaders who stole, those leaders are preparing their work. If the officers say that the work will continue till night, then they have to announce it. The office is open after 5 o'clock, which means there are two numbers of work going on. Bolpur BLRO office in Margram of Rampurhat-2 also worked after 5 o'clock. The real work has to be done after 5 o'clock. This is an attempt to change the record of land."
However, Trinamool leader Malay Mukhopadhyay said in this context, "Look at all the things that the opposition is saying, these things are like the delirium of a madman. They do not have any reliable information about where the land reform office is open at night. It is thought that Anubrata Mandal has been arrested, this time the Assembly will win everything from the Panchayat. Is it possible? Is it possible to pass by memorizing two questions overnight without studying for a whole year?”
