Two lady Brutally Gangraped in Medinipur

Another example of lawlessness situation in Bengal, Violence on women spike in the state.
In the middle of the night, some young men broke the door of the house and forcibly took away the two young women. Later, they were allegedly gang-raped and beaten throughout the night. The incident took place in Debra area of West Medinipur. The police have already arrested seven accused in the investigation.The victims are currently admitted at Debra Super Specialty Hospital.
Two young women lived in Debra police station area of Bharatpur area number two of West Midnipur. According to sources, they reached Martala area to practice singing last Sunday. However, the practice of the Bengali band went on for several nights and after that they decided to stay at the house of another female member of the band in Bhagwanpur.
In this case, the two young women expressed fear that it would not be safe to return home at night. However, the young women did not even realize that the house which was thought to be the main safe place, where the accident is waiting for them.
