CPIM will field candidates in 17 assembly constituencies in HimachalPradesh including Shimla, Kasumpati, Theog, Ani, Manali, Karsog, Jubbal-Kotkhai, Hamirpur, Jogindranagar, Saraj, Bharmaur, Manali.
CPIM Himachal Pradesh State committee scheduled for September 20 will finalize the candidates for the elections which will be sent to the Central Committee for ratification.
In the last assembly elections, CPI(M) contested in 13 seats. Rakesh Singha won the election from Theog assembly seat. Legislative Assembly elections will be held in Himachal Pradesh in November 2022 to elect 68 members.
