Multiple projects on non-conventional energy to protect the environment In the heart of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park, the Dewa Solar Innovation Center is an interactive educational space that guides the future direction of Dubai.
The center operates in several cities across the country. The solar park will be the largest single-site solar park in the world with a planned capacity of 5000 MW by 2030.
The solar park uses a range of photovoltaic (PV) and concentrated solar power (CSP) technologies. In addition, it also houses an innovation center and is one of the largest research and development centers in the region, including PV solar and CSP testing facilities and a solar-powered water desalination plant. Power is 13 MW.
The second phase of the solar park was successfully inaugurated in April 2017, with a total capacity of 200 MW.
