Senior Communist Party of India (Marxist) political party leader and former MP Basudev Acharya was admitted to Durgapur Mission Hospital on Sunday after he suddenly fell ill. Angiogram and other tests were done at this private hospital in Durgapur.
His physical condition is said to be stable. Vasudev Babu will be in medical management in CCU for the next 24 hours.
He is a native of Tamil Nadu but they have been living in Bengal for several generations. He considers himself a Bengali. He was born on July 11, 1942. He is an Indian politician and leader of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) political party.
He came to Asansol today to inaugurate the Agent Organization Conference of LIC. Attending the event, he suddenly fell ill while hoisting the flag. After his initial treatment at a private hospital there, he was admitted to Durgapur Mission Hospital.
