Flowers were left at the memorial for Ullubiy Buynaksky, Oscar Leshchinsky, Abdul-Vagab Gadzhimagomedov, Abdurakhman Ismailov, Said Abdulgalimov, and Abdulmazhid Aliyev, leaders of the revolutionary underground in Dagestan, before the gathering began. According to the military Sharia court's ruling, they were all executed by firing squad, with Leshchinsky being executed on September 19 at the Port-Petrovsky jail and the others on August 18 in the vicinity of the Temirgoe station.
The conflict between the "reds" and the "whites" in Dagestan between 1918-1921 was not confined to that period. The Caucasus was a tidbit for the Entente, and Dagestan got to enjoy all the "charms" of foreign interference. Additionally, in Dagestan, interests of the Anglo-American and German-Turkish blocs collided. Three years were spent in battle between the Dagestan Red Guards and interventionists like Denikin's, Gotsinsky's, Alikhanov's, and Shkuro's gangs.Artyom Gadzhitaev, first secretary of the Dagestan Republican Committee of the Komsomol and a member of the Central Committee of the Komsomol of the Russian Federation, began the meeting. He spoke on the importance of bolstering efforts at the grassroots level to educate young people about patriotism.
Also speaking at the opening was Zarina Totrova, Komsomol organizer for the North Caucasus Federal District on the Central Committee of the Komsomol of the Russian Federation. She mentioned the X Plenum of the Komsomol Central Committee that honoured Alexander Cheremenov, who passed away in September 2022 close to Kherson, with the Komsomol Valor badge posthumously.Following the opening, a film honoring Alexander Cheremenov was screened for the kids. The guys who knew Sasha best reminisced about him. There will be a lot going on during the next several days for Komsomol members, including trainings, quests, excursions, and a sharing of experience.
