After travelling over 4,500 miles and 13 hours, flight returns to same airport
In a bizarre incident, an Emirates flight travelled over 4,500 miles and 13 hours only to return to the same airport from where it took off. Flight EK448 was going to New Zealand from Dubai but had to return due to heavy flooding at Auckland Airport. Airport authorities said, the decision was "extremely frustrating" but necessary for passengers' safety.
