The 10-year-old girl, named Rutag, was standing next to her grandmother, who was a mere five feet away from the snatcher. As soon as the girl saw the snatcher pulling the chain, she immediately attacked him on his face, which made him move away. Her grandmother also tried to catch him, but he managed to escape.
This courageous act by Rutag is commendable as it helped her grandmother to avoid being robbed by the snatcher. The incident occurred in Shivaji Nagar's Model Colony area around 8 PM while the grandmother was walking with her two granddaughters on the footpath.
