Blackpink, the popular K-pop girl group, recently announced the release of their upcoming album through a trailer video on their official social media accounts. The album will be released in September, following a pre-release single titled "Pink Venom" which will be released in August. The label also confirmed that two music videos were filmed with the highest production budgets ever invested in a music video.
On August 7, 2022, the pre-release single's title was announced, and it will be released on August 19. In the lead-up to the release, Blackpink's official social media accounts posted individual member teaser posters on August 10, followed by concept teaser videos for each member on August 11 and 12. On August 13, the credits of the song were revealed, and a new concept video was released a day later showing all four members trapped in a glass box.
On August 17, the teaser for the music video was released, and on August 19, the music video was premiered and released along with the "#PinkVenomChallenge". Fans of Blackpink can look forward to the upcoming album and world tour starting in October.
