On March 25th, the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF) held an All-Russian meeting of its party activists through a video conference. The conference was led by the Chairman of the Central Committee of the CPRF, G.A. Zyuganov, who delivered an introductory speech to the participants.
Zyuganov emphasized that the Communist Party of the Russian Federation is the only political organization that offers an alternative to the current course pursued by the country's government. He highlighted the need to form a government that is trusted by the people, and suggested that only the measures proposed by the Communists can help Russia emerge from the crisis it has been dragged into by the so-called "reformers".
Zyuganov also mentioned the unique experience that the party has accumulated over the years, including celebrating five centennial anniversaries such as the 100th anniversary of the Great October Revolution and the 100th anniversary of the Soviet Union. He also congratulated the party on the 30th anniversary of its revival.
Zyuganov went on to express his greetings to the soldiers fighting for their homeland in the Donbass and Novorossiya regions, and condemned NATO's war with Russia, which he sees as a war against the Russian world. He urged the need to unite society to win this war, emphasizing that in history, only the Communists have won the victory over Nazism and fascism.
The Chairman then drew attention to the three phenomena that will define the current year, namely the outcome of the war, the socio-economic situation, and regional elections, as well as preparations for the presidential election. He stressed the need for a complete and unconditional victory in the ongoing war, which he believes should be confirmed in the coming months to counter the mobilization of NATO forces in Ukraine.
Zyuganov ended his speech by calling for heroism, dignity, and fortitude from the people of Russia in the face of the medieval inquisition-like attacks by the West on the Slavic and Russian world, and reaffirming that only victory can save Russia.
