The Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPI(M)) candidate, Comrade Anil Kumar, filed his nomination papers for the Bagepally constituency in Karnataka today, amidst a massive show of support from thousands of party supporters who participated in an impressive procession. Comrade Anil Kumar, who is a well-known doctor and social activist, is currently a member of the Secretariat of the CPI(M) Chikkaballapura District Committee.
Comrade Anil Kumar's innovative approach to containing the Covid-19 pandemic in 160 villages in and around Bagepalli Taluk, with the help of 480 volunteers, has been widely appreciated, including by the District Health Authorities. His efforts in providing medical assistance and support to the communities during the pandemic have earned him a reputation as a dedicated and compassionate leader who is committed to the welfare of the people.
After filing his nomination papers, a massive election rally was held where Comrade Sitaram Yechury, the General Secretary of CPI(M), was the main speaker.
