The NEET PG is a national-level entrance exam for postgraduate medical courses in India. The exam is conducted by the National Board of Examinations (NBE).
The first round of counselling is based on the scores of the NEET PG exam. In the second round, candidates can also participate based on their All India Rank (AIR) in the NEET PG exam.
The counselling process is conducted by the Directorate of Medical Education of each state. The candidates are allotted seats in government and private medical colleges based on their preferences and the availability of seats.
The NEET PG is a competitive exam and the competition for seats is very high. The first round of counselling is usually oversubscribed and many candidates do not get their desired seat. However, the second round of counselling provides an opportunity for the candidates to improve their chances of getting a seat.
I hope this helps!
