Jaipur: In a major development, the Rajasthan Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has arrested an Enforcement Directorate (ED) officer for taking a bribe of Rs. 15 lakh. The officer, Naval Kishore Meena, was arrested on Thursday while accepting the bribe from a complainant in a chit fund case.
According to reports, Meena had demanded a bribe of Rs. 17 lakh from the complainant to settle the case against him. However, the complainant approached the ACB, and a trap was laid to catch Meena red-handed.
Meena was arrested while accepting the bribe in Alwar district. His accomplice, Babulal Meena, who is a junior sub-registrar in Mundawar, was also arrested.
The ACB is currently investigating the case, and further action is expected to be taken soon.
