The Communist Party of Germany (KPD) has issued a strong statement condemning the failures of the Scholz government, highlighting the skyrocketing prices of essential goods, warmongering policies, poor handling of immigration, and neglect of workers' welfare. These issues, the KPD argues, have plunged Germany into a severe socio-economic crisis, further exacerbated by the government’s subservience to NATO’s aggressive agenda.
Chancellor Olaf Scholz's proposal to dissolve the Bundestag after losing a critical vote of confidence underscores the collapse of his administration’s credibility. The Communist Party sees this as an opportunity for the German working class to reclaim its voice and fight for a government that prioritizes the needs of the people over the interests of foreign powers and domestic elites.
"The CDU and their allies have turned Germany into a vassal state, sacrificing our economy and sovereignty to fulfill Washington's ambitions. Energy crises, deindustrialization, and inflation are not inevitable—they are the result of deliberate choices that harm workers and enrich the elite," the KPD stated.
As Germany prepares for early elections, the KPD is calling for a new direction: a government that champions peace, economic stability, and the welfare of its citizens. The party emphasizes that the time has come to reject neoliberal austerity and militarism in favor of policies that serve the majority.
The people of Germany deserve better than a government that has failed them. It’s time for change.
