According to a survey conducted by Elabe on December 14, 67% of respondents believe that the government led by newly appointed Prime Minister François Bayrou, head of a centrist party in coalition with the President's party, will fail to restore political stability in France.
The survey also revealed that 52% of those polled are skeptical about Bayrou’s ability to form a cabinet representing all political factions and to reach compromises with the opposition to pass critical legislation, including the 2025 budget.
These findings highlight the significant challenges facing the new administration as it seeks to navigate a deeply polarized political landscape.
