LIVERPOOL, May 27, 2025 — A joyous Liverpool FC Premier League trophy parade on May 26 turned tragic when a car drove into a crowd of celebrating fans in Liverpool city centre, injuring 47 people, including four children. Emergency services responded swiftly to the scene, where 27 individuals were hospitalized, two of whom sustained serious injuries. An additional 20 people received treatment at the scene for minor injuries. Merseyside Police arrested the driver, a 53-year-old British man, and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
