In a devastating fire that swept through Khidirpur, nearly 1300 shops were reduced to ashes, leaving shopkeepers and local residents in shock and despair. The tragedy has severely impacted the livelihoods of thousands who depend on this bustling marketplace.
CPI(M) State Secretary Mohammad Salim visited the site to assess the extent of the damage and meet with affected individuals. Addressing the people, Salim emphasized the need to ensure that the land of Khidirpur Bazaar remains with the local community and does not fall into the hands of land sharks. He urged the residents to remain vigilant and safeguard the area from exploitative forces.
Efforts are underway to assess the total loss, and demands have been raised for immediate relief and rehabilitation for those affected by this catastrophic event.
