BRISBANE — The Communist Party of Australia (CPA) was present at People's Pride, held on July 19, 2025, at Jagera Hall. Activists from the Sunshine Coast and Brisbane branches of the party attended the event to connect with the local LGBTQIA+ community.
The CPA stall offered free stickers to attendees and conducted a short survey to gather insights from the community. The survey aimed to understand the most pressing issues facing the LGBTQIA+ community, explore how the Communist Party of Australia could offer support, and gauge opinions on capitalism and socialism.
The event, organized by Magandjin People's Pride, was described by party members as a welcoming and loving environment. CPA activists felt a strong sense of inclusion and were able to have meaningful conversations with pride-goers. The party's presence at the event highlights their commitment to listening to and engaging with diverse communities on issues of social justice and equality.
