KATHMANDU – The Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist–Leninist) [CPN-UML] has finalized its new leadership lineup following the party's 11th General Convention. A complete panel of central office bearers has been elected to steer the party forward.
Leading the committee is K.P. Sharma Oli, who has been elected as the Chairman (Adhyaksha). Joining him in the top executive role is Shankar Pokhrel, who has secured the position of General Secretary (Mahasachiv).
The convention also elected a robust team of Vice-Chairmen and Secretaries to support the party's agenda. The newly elected key office bearers include:
Vice-Chairmen (Upadhyaksha): Prominent leaders such as Bishnu Prasad Paudel, Ram Bahadur Thapa 'Badal', and Raghuji Pant have been elected to high-ranking vice-chair positions.
Secretaries (Sachiv): The team of secretaries includes influential figures such as Yogesh Bhattarai, Lekhraj Bhatta, Raghubir Mahaseth, Gokarna Raj Bista, Prithvi Subba Gurung, Padma Kumari Aryal, Mahesh Basnet, and Chhabilal Bishwakarma, among others.
The new committee represents a mix of veteran leadership and established political figures within the UML.
