*BSNL Employees Union Holds Two Day Eastern Zone Class in Kolkata*
On July 23-24, 2022, the BSNL Employees Union held its Eastern Zone two-day class at Com K G Bose Smriti Bhawan in Kolkata. It was attended by 82 delegates from 11 states - West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, Assam, Tripura, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland and Arunachal Pradesh.
The presidium comprised BSNLEU president Animesh Mitra, assistant general secretary Sisir Roy and vice president Shivjee Roy.
On the first day, the class was inaugurated by CITU West Bengal president Suvash Mukherjee. The session on 'Current Problems before the Trade Union Movement' was taken by CITU secretary Swadesh Dev Roy.
On the second day, the topic 'Various Streams in the Freedom Struggle and Current Challenges' was taken by AIKS president Dr Ashok Dhawale. The concluding session on 'Tasks before the BSNLEU' was taken by Animesh Mitra.
