Yong Workers Collective (YWC) was formed on July 17th 2016 at Bangalore - the IT capital of India, committed and determined to safeguard the interests of the people, leading the struggles for the upliftment and betterment of the society.
It was formed with an intent to march in hand in hand with all the democratic struggles of the workers, peasants and other progressive groups and individuals. YWC, the progressive youth organization of the urban working class, holds firm its solidarity with all anti-imperialist, anti-racism, national liberation and peace struggles happening worldwide.
The organization was initially formed with a name 'Bhagath Singh Youth Movement' (BSYM) and the active contributions of the young workers spread across Bangalore made the organization flourish into primary units at each and every corner of Bangalore. The organization was renamed to Young Workers' Collective (YWC) at the Special Conference held on November 26, 2017. Currently the 32 primary units of YWC comes under four area committees which are in turn lead by a Central Executive Committee.
