Former Telecom Minister alleges corruption in 5G auction

The opposition has come forward with its demand in the investigation of 5G corruption. A few days ago, the 5G auction was held by Reliance, the majority of the spectrum. This time DMK MP A Raja has accused of corruption in the 5G auction. He was the Telecom Minister in the UPA cabinet. Wednesday.  Addressing reporters, Union Telecom Minister Ashwini Vaishnab claimed that 5G spectrum will sell up to ₹5 lakh crore compared to 2G, 3G and 4G.

"But now 5G has been auctioned for only ₹1.5 lakh crore. Compared to 2G, he said, 5G bandwidth is 10 to 20 times more in terms of cost and efficiency. During his tenure as minister, the then CAG claimed that the government lost ₹ 1.76 lakh crore due to corruption.  Although at that time only 30 MHz spectrum was recommended.

But in today's context, now 51 GHz 5G spectrum is being sold in less amount. Evidence of corruption is emerging by listening to the auction figures. Former Union Telecom Minister A Raja has demanded an immediate investigation.
