The 𝗣 𝗦𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘆𝘆𝗮 𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝗿𝘂𝘀𝘁 and LeftWord Books are organising a seminar on ‘The Future of the Farmers Movement in India’ on Monday, 22 August 2022, at 2:00 PM at the Gandhi Peace Foundation, Near ITO, New Delhi.
The main speakers at the seminar will be Samyukta Kisan Morcha (#SKM) leaders Rakesh Tikait, Joginder Singh Ugrahan, Dr Darshan Pal, Yogendra Yadav, CITU General Secretary Tapan Sen, and AIAWU President A Vijayaraghavan. The seminar will be presided over by Hannan Mollah.
Prof Archana Prasad from Jawaharlal Nehru University will introduce the new book on the farmers' struggle, ‘When Farmers Stood Up: How the Historic Kisan Struggle in India Unfolded’, written by Dr Ashok Dhawale and published by LeftWord Books.
