The National Herald office was sealed today at noon. Congress announced that on August 5, a demonstration has been called in front of the Prime Minister's residence against the unlimited price hike. Within a few hours of the announcement, the police informed that no permission was being given for this demonstration.
Shortly after that, a large police force surrounded the office and Sonia Gandhi's residence. In a press conference, Congress leader Jairam Ramesh said that this role of the police shows how dangerous the country's democracy is. The Congress announced that the protest program will be held on August 5.
