According to STF sources, the names of the arrested are Kurban Ali and Rakesh Mollah. A gun and bullets were recovered from them. Kurban's house is in Monteshwar in East Burdwan. Rakesh is a resident of Domkal, Murshidabad. The officials of STF started investigating the incident by interrogating the arrested.
Rakesh went to East Burdwan to buy weapons from Kurban. Then two people were riding a bike. The STF received information about their arms smuggling in advance. In that way, the detectives caught him hand in hand. A one shot gun was recovered from the victim.
Detectives have started questioning the arrested. Besides, the police are trying to find out who else is involved in this gang. Along with that, the STF of the state police filed a case against the arrested under Arms Act. Detectives will produce Kurban and Rakesh in court on Saturday.
