Massive public meeting was held at Kundapura marking the conclusion of the CITU Karnataka state conference. While inaugurating the public meeting CITU General Secretary Tapan sen said "The assets of the country are going to the private people. CITU will be taking important decisions in the all India CITU conference scheduled from January 18 to 20, 2023 against the new finance policies that are favourable for only capitalist" "CITU is campaigning against anti-labour policies of the union and state governments. The government is snatching the rights of the workers.
The government is destroying the Beedi industry. The anti-labour policies including price rise of petroleum products should be condemned" he added.
CITU state president Comrade S Varalaxmi presided over the meeting which was addressed by CITU state secretary Meenakshi Sundaram, K N Umesh, senior labour leader V J K Nair, K Shanker, State Treasurer N Narasimha and others.
