Along the border between Assam and Tripura, the Assam Police Department was able to capture a large number of illegal substances worth a total of Rs. 40 lakh from a truck. An official said that they had stopped a truck based on confidential information and that they found 400 kilograms of marijuana when doing the examination on the vehicle. The truck driver was taken into custody by the police, and a report was filed under the NDPS Act.
