Jesse and Deedee O'Dell, a couple from the United States, were recently sent a bill for more than $4,000 (Rs 3,66,915) for two cups of coffee that they ordered at the Starbucks near their home.
According to Jesse and Deedee O'Dell, they have been going to Starbucks every morning for the past 16 years to order the same two beverages, which typically cost around $10 combined: an iced americano and an iced cappuccino.
On the other hand, the total amount that was owed for a single order one day over the previous month came to an astounding $4,456.27. The couple claims that Starbucks overcharged them for their regular order and is requesting a refund at this time. They have accused Starbucks of being dishonest.
