Dengue cases have been on the rise in Durgapur, West Bengal, with over 50 people testing positive for the disease in recent weeks. The outbreak has caused concern among health officials, who are urging residents to take precautions to prevent mosquito bites.
The most common symptoms of dengue are fever, headache, muscle pain, and fatigue. In some cases, the disease can be more serious, leading to bleeding, respiratory problems, and even death.
The Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPI(M)) has accused the Durgapur Municipal Corporation (DMC) of mismanagement in the wake of the recent dengue outbreak in the city.
The CPI(M) has said that the DMC has failed to take adequate steps to prevent the spread of dengue, such as cleaning up stagnant water and conducting fogging operations. The party has also accused the DMC of being unresponsive to the concerns of residents.
