Phanibhushan Das, a former Deputy Director of Audit and a well-known social worker, passed away on July 29, 2023, at the age of 82. He had been battling a chronic illness for several days.
Mr. Das was a highly respected figure in the audit industry. He served in the Indian Audit and Accounts Department for over 30 years, and during his tenure, he played a key role in several major audits. He was also a recipient of the President's Award for Distinguished Service.
In addition to his professional accomplishments, Mr. Das was also a dedicated social worker. He was a member of several charitable organizations, and he was always willing to help those in need. He will be remembered for his kindness, his generosity, and his commitment to making a difference in the world.
Mr. Das is survived by his wife, Dipika Das, his son, Devraj Das, and his grandchildren, Debarshi and Debarati.
A funeral service will be held on July 30, 2023, at 10:00 AM at the Rabindra Sadan in Kolkata.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Phanibhushan Das Memorial Fund, which will support charitable organizations in Kolkata.
