A Bangalore People's Convention organised by the CPI(M) IT Front Local Committee concluded on Sunday with a determination to build an effective fight back to the cost of living crisis in the city.
The convention was inaugurated by CPI(M) Polit Bureau Member Comrade Ashok Dhawale. More than a thousand people attended, including workers, students, professionals, and activists.
The speakers at the convention highlighted the rising cost of living in Bangalore, which has made it difficult for people to make ends meet. They demanded that the government take immediate steps to address the crisis, such as increasing wages, providing affordable housing, and controlling the prices of essential commodities.
The convention also resolved to launch a series of protests and agitations to pressurize the government to take action.
In his speech, Comrade Dhawale said that the cost of living crisis is a result of the policies of the capitalist government, which is only interested in enriching the rich at the expense of the poor. He called on the people to unite and fight back against the government's anti-people policies.
The other speakers also spoke about the need for a united struggle against the cost of living crisis. They said that the people can only defeat the government if they come together and fight together.
The convention concluded with a pledge to build a strong movement to fight back against the cost of living crisis and other problems f
aced by the people of Bangalore.
