Education System Undergoes Significant Transformation

In alignment with the new education policy, the Ministry of Education has unveiled substantial changes to the education system, aimed at simplifying board exams and granting students greater flexibility in their subject choices.

Twice-a-Year Board Exams

In a departure from the conventional single annual exam system, the new framework introduces bi-annual board exams. Students will now have the opportunity to retain their highest score from either of the two attempts, effectively reducing the pressure associated with a single high-stakes examination.

Emphasis on Language

To foster the promotion of Indian languages, the Ministry now mandates that students in classes 11 and 12 study two languages, with at least one of them being an Indian language.

Assessing Competencies

The revised examination system will prioritize the evaluation of students' understanding and accomplishments across various competencies. This shift intends to move away from the prevalent emphasis on rote learning and coaching.

Subject Selection Flexibility

One of the most notable changes is the removal of constraints on subject choices within specific academic streams like arts, science, and commerce. Students will enjoy the liberty to choose subjects across streams, granting them a more versatile academic path.
