New Delhi, October 19, 2023: President of India Droupadi Murmu has appointed former Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das as the Governor of Odisha. Along with him, Telangana leader Indrasena Reddy Nallu has been appointed as the Governor of Tripura.
Raghubar Das is currently the National Vice President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He was the Chief Minister of Jharkhand from 2014 to 2019. Indrasena Reddy Nallu is a leader of the Telangana BJP.
A statement issued by the Rashtrapati Bhavan said that the appointments of Raghubar Das and Indrasena Reddy Nallu will take effect from the date they assume office in their respective offices.
The BJP has expressed happiness over the appointment of Raghubar Das. Party national spokesperson Sambit Patra said that Raghubar Das is an experienced and skilled leader. His appointment will give a new impetus to development in Odisha.
The BJP has also expressed happiness over the appointment of Indrasena Reddy Nallu. Party national general secretary Arun Singh said that Indrasena Reddy Nallu is an active and dedicated leader. His appointment will give a new impetus to development in Tripura.
