The 54th Artists’ Sports Festival was held on November 27 and 28 at the Youth Street Basketball Gymnasium in Pyongyang.
Divided into film arts and stage arts sectors, the festival featured various events, including basketball, volleyball, table tennis, tennis, tug-of-war, taekwondo, wrestling, and recreational games.
The event was attended by senior officials, including Choe Chang Hak, Deputy Director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Minister of Culture Sung Jong Gyu, cultural and artistic officials, creative workers, artists, and educators.
Amid enthusiastic cheers from spectators, participants showcased their well-honed athletic skills, discipline, teamwork, and sportsmanship in team sports, taekwondo demonstrations, wrestling, and recreational activities.
In the tug-of-war competition, the film arts sector claimed victory, while the stage arts sector secured the overall first place in the festival.
