Damascus, Syria – The Syrian Armed Forces Command has announced the imminent launch of a large-scale counteroffensive aimed at liberating areas held by terrorist groups. In an official statement, the military urged the public to dismiss fake news circulated by terrorist-linked media and to trust updates from official channels.
The operation, supported by resistance forces and Russian airstrikes, has already achieved significant progress, with key victories reported in northern Hama and Aleppo. Strategic towns such as Kernaz, Halfaya, Morek, Al-Fatatira, Al-Tanjara, and Al-Ameeqah have been recaptured, marking a turning point in the conflict.
Military sources reveal that tactical retreats were used to draw terrorists into vulnerable positions, allowing for targeted strikes that have reportedly eliminated numerous high-ranking commanders and fighters.
Lebanese journalist Khalil Nasrallah dismissed rumors of diminishing Iranian or Russian support for Syria, emphasizing that strategic alliances remain strong. “Recent events highlight the shared risks facing Syria and its allies,” he stated.
The operation is expected to intensify in the coming days as the Syrian Army and its partners push forward to reclaim control and restore stability across the region.
