7th KPA Training Commanders' Conference Held in Pyongyang
(Pyongyang, May 17, ) The 7th Training Commanders' Conference of the Korean People's Army (KPA) was held in Pyongyang on May 14 and 15. This significant event demonstrated the invincible might of the revolutionary armed forces, firmly safeguarding state sovereignty and the safety of the people while propelling national development and rejuvenation.
As the seventh of its kind in the history of the Juche-based military, the conference held great significance in intensifying the training revolution across the entire army. It focused on equipping the armed forces with overwhelming war preparedness capabilities to decisively counteract the reckless war provocations and escalating tensions instigated by hostile nations. Furthermore, the event aimed to accelerate qualitative advancements in the Republic's military strength.
The conference reviewed the achievements and experiences of the KPA's training sector over the past seven years since the 6th Training Commanders' Conference. Participants discussed tasks and practical methods to strengthen the training front as a cornerstone of the KPA's strength and invincibility. The discussions emphasized enhancing combat readiness across all units to develop the KPA into an elite force.
The event was attended by training commanders of the KPA, senior officers from various military and political institutions, representatives of military educational institutions, and related officials. Key figures, including Minister of National Defense Ri Yong Gil, Chief of the General Staff of the KPA Ri Yong Gil, Director of the General Political Bureau of the KPA Jong Kyong Thaek, and exemplary training commanders, presided over the conference.
The conference featured a keynote report by Ri Yong Gil, addressing the progress and strategic direction for achieving the training objectives of the KPA.
