Yemeni Socialist Party in Al-Musaymir, Lahj, Holds Regular Session, Approves Activation of Party Work and Inclusion of Youth and Women Leaders
On the morning of Tuesday, May 27, 2025, the committee of the Yemeni Socialist Party in Al-Musaymir Directorate, Lahj Governorate, held its regular session, chaired by Comrade Mansour Nasser Saleh, a member of the party's Central Committee and First Secretary of the directorate’s party organization. The meeting was attended by Comrade Abdulbari Al-Harbi, Second Secretary of the party organization in the governorate.
The session began with a minute of silence to honor the martyrs of the South. In his opening speech, the First Secretary addressed the deteriorating general conditions in the country, highlighting the worsening service crises in electricity, water, health, and education, as well as the ongoing collapse of the national currency and the absence of salary payments for civil and military sector employees for April and May 2025. He stressed that these challenges require national forces, led by the Yemeni Socialist Party, to strengthen their role in defending the people’s livelihood and political rights.
The session reviewed performance reports from the period between meetings and decided to reorganize the directorate’s party secretariat under Comrade Mansour Nasser Saleh’s leadership. It also approved the inclusion of new party members from the youth and women’s sectors into the directorate committee, aiming to revitalize party work and infuse it with dynamic young and female leadership.
Comrade Abdulbari Al-Harbi spoke about the political and economic challenges facing the country, reaffirming the governorate leadership’s commitment to restructuring the organizational framework across various directorates. He praised the militant role of the Al-Musaymir party organization and commended the organizational arrangements for the meeting, as well as the active participation of most directorate committee members.
Al-Harbi noted that the meeting marks a significant organizational milestone in reactivating the directorate committee’s activities, affirming the governorate leadership’s support for efforts to restore vitality to the directorate’s organizational life and enhance its performance.
The session concluded with the committee issuing several recommendations aimed at strengthening party work and developing its militant and organizational tools. Additionally, a number of veterans of the October 14 Revolution and historical party leaders were honored with certificates of appreciation in recognition of their militant legacy and contributions to the party’s political and organizational efforts.
The meeting was attended by several party leaders from the governorate, including Comrade Iman Bahrak, Secretary of the Women’s Department in the governorate, and Comrade Saleh Taleb Saeed, a member of the secretariat of the Yemeni Socialist Party’s organization in Lahj Governorate.
