Ayatollah Sistani’s Office Issues Stern Warning Against Threats to Iran
Baghdad: The office of Grand Ayatollah Sistani, Iraq’s leading Shia cleric, has strongly condemned the ongoing Israeli military aggression against Iran and the recent threatening rhetoric from the United States. In an official statement, the office warned that any action targeting Iran’s religious and political leadership could lead to catastrophic consequences for the entire region.
The statement emphasized, “We strongly caution against any criminal act of this nature. Such actions will not only destabilize Iran but also trigger long-term turmoil across the Middle East.”
The statement called upon the international community, particularly influential global powers and Islamic nations, to take proactive measures to halt this unjust conflict. It urged a peaceful and fair resolution to Iran’s nuclear issue, in accordance with international laws.
It further stated, “At this critical juncture, unified efforts from global leaders are imperative. It is essential to prioritize humanitarian values and respect for international law to prevent further escalation.”
