In a landmark development for labor rights advocacy, the 13th West Bengal State Conference of the Centre of Indian Trade Unions (CITU) concluded with the election of Ziaul Alam as Secretary and Anadi Sahu as President. The conference, held in Haldia, resonated with spirited discussions and deliberations on pivotal issues affecting workers and marginalized communities.
The event, which commenced on Friday, saw participation from delegates representing diverse corners of West Bengal. K. Hemlata, the All-India President of CITU, inaugurated the conference with a stirring address, emphasizing unity and resilience in the face of adversity. Tapan Sen, General Secretary of CITU at the national level, presented a powerful perspective on the path forward for the labor movement.
