Durgapur, June 7: Food enthusiasts in Durgapur got an opportunity to explore the rich and vibrant world of Korean cuisine through a special Korean Food Workshop organized by DCC Culinary Studio (Durgapur Culinary Club) on Saturday.
The four-hour hands-on workshop, held from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, aimed to introduce participants to authentic Korean cooking techniques and popular dishes that have gained worldwide popularity in recent years.
During the session, attendees learned to prepare seven iconic Korean-inspired recipes, including Korean Corn Dog, Tteokbokki, Bulgogi Rice Bowl, Mango Sticky Rice, Honey Sesame Potatoes, Korean Pickled Cucumbers, and Blueberry & Thyme Boba. The workshop was designed to provide both practical cooking experience and insights into Korean food culture.
Participants received hands-on culinary training from experienced instructors and were awarded a Certificate of Participation upon completion. The organizers also provided commemorative souvenirs and tote bags as part of the workshop package.
According to the organizers, the event was conceived in response to the growing popularity of Korean culture, including K-pop, K-dramas, and Korean cuisine among young people and food lovers across India. The workshop sought to create an immersive culinary experience that combined learning, creativity, and cultural exploration.
The participation fee for the workshop was set at ₹1,200 per person, and interested participants were invited to reserve their seats in advance.
Organizers expressed satisfaction with the enthusiastic response from attendees and indicated plans to host more international cuisine workshops in the future, helping local food lovers broaden their culinary horizons while gaining professional cooking skills.
