*AINBEA Seminar in Mumbai on Agrarian Crisis, Help to Peasant Suicide Families*
Last week on 5 July 2022, the All India NABARD Employees Association (AINBEA) organised a seminar on 'The Current Agrarian Crisis and the Role of NABARD' in Mumbai, to commemorate the first death anniversary of its general secretary V K Bhosale.
The speakers at the seminar were renowned journalist P Sainath, AIKS President Dr Ashok Dhawale, and AINBEA General Secretary Rana Mitra. It was presided over by AINBEA President Jose T Abraham.
On behalf of the Trust called 'AINBEA for Social Welfare', cheques of Rs 25,000 each were given to the next of kin of three farmers from the Wardha district of Vidarbha region, who had committed suicide due to indebtedness and agrarian distress. On behalf of the farmers, AIKS state vice president Yashwant Zade also addressed the gathering.
NABARD employees and others came in large numbers for this programme.
