The nighttime temperature was lower than what was recorded at the well-known ski resort of Gulmarg, which is located in the Baramulla region in north Kashmir. Gulmarg's low temperature was 3.2 degrees Celsius below zero.The local authorities said that the mercury at the popular tourist destination of Pahalgam, which is located in the Anantnag district in south Kashmir, reached a low of minus 4.4 degrees Celsius.The town of Qazigund, which serves as the Valley's primary point of entry, reported a low of minus 3.4 degrees Celsius, while the town of Kokernag, which is also located in the South, reported a low of minus 1.4 degrees Celsius.According to the authorities, Kupwara in north Kashmir recorded a temperature of 2.7 degrees Celsius below zero.
The Meteorological Office has predicted that the weather will continue to be clear yet cloudy until December 8th.Beginning on December 9, Jammu and Kashmir and the surrounding areas are likely to be impacted by a new western disturbance. As a result of this disturbance, there is a chance of light snowfall across the plains and lower reaches of the region, and the possibility of light-to-moderate snowfall across the middle and higher reaches of the region over the next two days.
