Delhi airport congestion reduced by four-point aviation ministry strategy

Following recent reports of overcrowding and congestion at Delhi airport, the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) have collaborated to develop a four-point action plan that is intended to be put into effect as quickly as possible to provide immediate relief to passengers. Among them is increasing the number of X-ray screening devices at the airport from 14 to 16. According to statements made by anonymous sources to India Today TV, there would be an increase in the number of X-ray machines with the inclusion of one Automatic Tray Retrieval System (ATRS) machine and two ordinary X-ray machines.

In addition, Gates 1A and 8B, both now used for vehicular traffic, will be repurposed for use by passengers. At the moment, there are 19 departures during peak hours from Terminal 3 of the Delhi airport, but the authorities are attempting to bring that number down to 14. Jyotiraditya Scindia, the Union Minister for Civil Aviation, made these remarks to the media in Indore: "Bunching (of planes) increases congestion during peak hours." That curve is going to become flattered as a result of our efforts. For example, during peak hours at Delhi Airport, there are currently just 19 flights departing rather than the previous total of 22 planes. Our goal is to bring that number down even lower so that our customers won't have to deal with any inconvenience.
