Around 700 doctors from the Madrid Health Service (Sermas) gathered on Wednesday to advocate for better pay, working conditions, and a reduction in their weekly working hours, which currently stand at 37.5. The demonstrators marched for over two hours from the Madrid Health Service Human Resources Directorate (Sermas) to the Puerta del Sol square, where the headquarters of the regional government are located.
Chanting "sanitary, united, will never be defeated," the participants of the protest supported the demands of Primary Care and Emergency doctors. One protester, Angela Hernandez, emphasized the need to recognize the responsibility they have towards their colleagues and patients.
