The Indian Air Force (IAF) is continuing its relief operations in Sikkim, which was hit by flash floods in October 2023. IAF helicopters have been undertaking missions to evacuate stranded people, deliver relief material, and ferry relief workers and Indian Army personnel.
Till now, the IAF has flown 262 sorties, resulting in the transportation of 2002 civilians from the flood ravaged areas to safer locations and the shifting of over 1,32,805 kg of relief material.
