Mexico City, [Date of News - e.g., June 1, 2024] – The Communist Party of Mexico (PCM) has issued a strong condemnation of the Israeli military assault on the "Freedom Flotilla," which was attempting to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza.
In a press release from the PCM's Press Commission, the party stated that it "repudiates the Israeli military assault on the Freedom Flotilla attempting to bring humanitarian aid to Gaza, in the face of the genocide committed by the State of Israel against the Palestinian people."
The PCM views the action as an act of aggression against an expression of international solidarity with Palestine.
Furthermore, the party announced its support for the "international demand for the immediate release of all crew members." The PCM also called upon the Mexican State to "take a firm position in defence of the safeguarding and freedom of the 7 kidnapped nationals who are part of the Freedom Flotilla."
The press release concluded with the rallying cry, "Proletarians of all countries, unite!"
