Yesterday, the state got the license from the telecom company of the country.Kerala, the only state in the country, will provide this service through its own Kerala Fiber Optic Network Limited through the Kaphone project to provide free internet service to 30,000 government offices as well as BPL households in the state. The project has been built at a cost of around 1548 crores.
Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan tweeted yesterday. The message said that through this system, Kerala will get great success in bridging the digital divide.
