Nobel Prize in Literature awarded to French Author Annie Ernaux
The 2022 Nobel Prize in Literature was awarded to French author Annie Ernaux "for the courage and clinical acuity with which she uncovers the roots, estrangements and collective restraints of personal memory," the academy said. Her writing "examines a life marked by strong disparities regarding gender, language and class", said Nobel Prize website. Last year's winner was Abdulrazak Gurnah.
