On July 10 this year, Ravikiran and his wife paid an unscheduled visit to Reliance Smart Point in Nandini Layout on their way back from a temple. The couple bought groceries and other household goods worth around 2,007 rupees, however, they were shocked after the sellers at the checkout counter demanded 24.9 rupees for a handbag.
The 34-year-old, himself a lawyer, filed legal cases based on the rights of the client and opposed paying for the handbag, but ultimately had to buy the bag at Rs 24.9 because it is used to carry goods home.
