Doctor Praveen Kulkarni gave the following recommendations:
• Wear weather-appropriate clothing; that is, dress in layers. Doing so can enable you to remain warm and protect your heart throughout winter. You'll need to bundle up with hats, gloves, and sweaters.
• Engage in regular physical activity; doing so will improve your fitness and immune system function while also helping to maintain a healthy internal temperature. Only engage in physical activity with
your doctor's approval. However, you should avoid working out while the temperature outside is low. Additionally, it is recommended to stay indoors and away from the excessive cold. The risk of having a heart attack can be minimized by keeping blood pressure and blood sugar levels under control, both of which can be monitored.
Eat a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables, pulses, legumes, whole grains, berries, legumes, flaxseeds, spinach, carrot, and broccoli. It's cold outside, so warm yourself with some soup. However, junk, spicy, greasy, and canned food should be avoided.
• Get your heart checked out on a regular basis; the average doctor recommends doing so every six months.
• Don't drink too much alcohol; in fact, don't drink any alcohol at all.
